That’s right, you read that correctly. Shades of wedding dresses. What does that even mean? Well of course it means just how it reads. We’re talking non-traditional wedding dresses that still give you that classic beauty look.

First let’s start out with a little history behind the reason a bride wears white. Incase you didn’t know* “The color white represented purity, symbolizing both a woman’s chastity and her transition to a married Roman matron. ..A royal wedding sparked the modern trend in white bridal wear. Queen Victoria chose to forgo the royal tradition of wearing coronation robes when she married Prince Albert on Feb. 10, 1840.” * Thank you queen!

There’s no written rule stating you have to wear white or ivory. Me personally, I’m less of a white dress bride more of a bring out the colors and fun and show your personality. It’s your big day!

We’re talking color! You don’t have to wear white or ivory. A little splash of some color can make a big impact to your dress and your wedding day look. Have you ever thought, maybe my dress will be my something blue!

Last on our list of favorite wedding day looks is the short wedding dress! I love a short wedding dress. Whoever said full length is where it’s at has never got down on the dance floor in a long dress before. You don’t have to be eloping to wear a short dress. You want to be comfortable and to be able to move comfortably through the whole day. Often I feel like these are the most stunning brides or the most fun!
